On Saturday 17th March, Sam Dixon, Neil Clarke and James Beckett set a new world record of 31 hours continuous shooting to raise money for Sport Relief at the Bowbrook Archery clubhouse near Withington.
During the time between Friday morning and Saturday afternoon they shot a combined total of 4,797arrows, scored 35,411 points between them and walked over 12 miles apiece between the shooting line and the targets
Club chairman Sam said 'We are proud of what we've achieved but we could not have done it without the support of the club members.'
Their efforts, combined with other activities at the club's open day, have raised over £750 for Sport Relief, with more money still coming in.
