Practice

Weather and preparation permitting; practice targets will be available on the tournament field from 5pm to 6.30pm on Friday under D.O.S. control.

Please do not enter the field of play to erect tents before 4pm on Friday, and then only after the consent of the working party.

Registration

Registration from 8.00am on both days. Membership cards will be required for our automatic booking in. If you are not yet in possession of a 2016/2017 card, please bring proof that you have paid your membership to your club.

Event Timings

Assembly at 8.30am on both days. Practice of up to 45 mins from 8.45am The competition will start immediately afterwards.

Event Format

Saturday Following practice the WA 50/70m round will be shot in a double detail with six arrows shot in four minutes.

There will be a comfort break at three dozen. On completion of the ranking round there will be a break while the seedings are completed for the Head to Head rounds. Official practice for the afternoon will be taken during this time. All teams will go through to the Head to Head, and higher placed teams will receive a bye in the earlier rounds. Matches will be shot to current WA rules.

Sunday Following practice the Ladies and Gents WA 1440 round will be shot in a double detail with six arrows shot in four minutes all throughout the day.

Compounds and Recurves will shoot on individual six zone 80cm faces at 50 and 30m. Longbows will shoot on a full single 80cm face at both 50m and 30m.

Eligibility

All entries must be ratified by a member of your County Committee before they will be accepted.

We are willing to accept entries without named archers so that you can guarantee your team spaces if your selection process requires more time. However names must be with the organiser by the closing date, otherwise you may lose your teams place and entry fee unless alternative arrangements have been made with the organiser.

Awards

Trophies will be awarded to the winning team in each category.

A minimum of three teams from differing counties will be required for Longbow categories to participate in this event.

Medals will be awarded on the following basis. 1-3 Teams 1st. 4-6 Teams - 2nd, 7+ Teams 3rd.

Teams unable to complete all three rounds of the event will not appear in the combined rankings for final positions, however individual and team scores for each round will be shown in the final results booklet.

Dress

Please refer to the Archery GB Rules of Shooting for the dress regulations. Archers should comply with dress regulations until after the presentations.

Drug Testing

Archers competing at record status tournaments may be liable for drugs testing. Competitors who are approached to give samples must comply.

Non-compliance will be treated as a positive result.

Parents / Guardians must sign the relevant box on the entry forms giving consent for junior archers (Under 18’s) to be drug tested if approached.

Lost Arrows

Lost arrows must be reported to a judge or member of the field party (please remember to inform them if you later find the arrow).

It is the archer’s responsibility to account for all arrows before leaving the field.


Photography

In line with the recommendation in the Archery GB Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy, the organisers of this event request that any person wishing to engage in any video, zoom or close range photography should register their details with Tournament Organiser at the registration desk before carrying out any such photography. If parents/carers have any particular concern about their child/young person being photographed or filmed they should notify the organisers.

Please note in line with the Photographing & Filming Children & Young People in Sport policy you may be required to obtain written permission from the subject and/or their parents/carers to publish images on the internet or in print.

The National Tournaments Committee reserves the right to decline entry to any person unable to meet or abide by these conditions.

Refreshments

On both days, food will be available from the Lilleshall shop in the Cricket Pavilion.

Camping

Basic tent and caravan pitches are available in the bottom field with portable event toilets. Showers are available in the pavilion or Queens Hall only.

Due to Counties being able to change their team members at short notice, camping spaces will not be sold as part of the entry process. We ask that you come to registration with the correct fee, collect your permit and display it prominently. The work party will be monitoring the camp site and any units not displaying a permit, will be approached for payment.

We ask that you follow the recommendations that will be detailed on the target list. Camping will be charged at £9.50 per unit per night.

Special Note

Please ensure that the organiser is aware of any special requirements you may have. Please do not assume that we already know.

Archers who are unable to get to the target are requested, if possible, to arrange for an assistant to aid in scoring and arrow collection. If this is not possible, then please contact the organiser for advice.

Smoking

We are bound by Lilleshall’s smoking policy which says no smoking on the sports pitches. Therefore the smoking area is on the access road. Please note that this rule applies to those using electronic cigarettes or vaping.

Stoves & Burners

Please do not put stoves, burners or hot water urns directly on the grass.

Pets

Pets are not permitted at the Lilleshall National Sports and Conferencing Centre.

Car Parking

Parking is limited near the archery field.

Archers driving on a daily basis should follow the stewards instructions.

Wenlock Hall car park is recommended for those wishing to transfer equipment by trolley.

Documentation

By entering this event you agree that details such as Name, Bowstyle, Category or Club may be published in documents or lists relating to the event, and at a schedule decided by National Tournaments. A list of confirmed entrants will be published on the Archery GB website and Ianseo as soon as practicable. The Target List will be published 4pm on the Friday. The Results will be published as soon as possible after the event.

Entry Fee

£120 per team consisting of 3 members. No refunds after the closing date, however team member substitutions will be allowed if they are given to the organiser with reasonable notice.

We prefer that entries be submitted via our partners, Sport:80 at agb.sport80.com however it is recognised that most counties will want to pay by county cheque, therefore a paper entry form is also available on the Archery GB Website.

Please ensure you keep your email confirmation of entry and payment from Sport:80. It may be required at a later stage.

Entries will be opened on Sport:80 at 6pm on the 5 April. A waiting list will be in operation as soon as all spaces have been filled.

It is recommended that you log into your Sport:80 account ahead of the opening times to ensure that you are able to login and the membership details of all Archers you intend entering are up to date.


Closing Date

Midnight on the 5 June 2017, after which refunds will not be given.
